Reacher yanks at the door handle and slides in, he looks around and feels all the eyes turn to him. He doesn’t say sorry but just sits down and begins to daydream.

He knows he is looking tired but it doesn’t matter. Reachers worst days only just equal others best days. Tall, Lean and handsome. Son of a Football player and rocket scientist. Born in April of 2000. 17 years old. GPA of 4. Daydreaming of a lesser version of himself struggling through school, where no one notices him.

Reacher gets pulled back into reality through the scream of a bell. He jumps up and heads out to get away from the incoming stampede. Groups of Apes compliment him on how he carried the team to victory, but he has something else on his mind. Everything sorted by their similarities. Words miss him as he power walks down the hallway. Bland walls purposely placed to show how boring this place is. Smells like the B.O. of developing animals. Reacher Determined. Determined to understand something he finally doesn’t. He flies into the lions den unafraid even through the threats of growing up. Grey posters glorifying 9 to 5 jobs persuading people to conform to what society wants but Reacher knows better. Pamphlets laid out on desks displaying Uni’s claiming they’re the best. He smells a very neutral scent as if the place has been cleaned too much for how often it is used. A security camera in the corner. Unlucky it can’t watch itself as it is the most valuable thing in the room. Finally the lioness steps out and greets hims with a look up and down. She has a confused look on her face and asks “Reacher…never in my life I would have thought you would be here”. That Set him off. He stormed out of the unused office into the jungle of a hallway. All the animals stare at him knowing that they have never seen Reacher wearing anything but a smile. He scans the room and feels pressured. Pressured to do some spectacular trick, but nothing can come to him. Reacher for the first time is stuck, he has nothing to do to ease the pressure or make the crowd laugh. So he runs. Down the bland hallway. More and more animals see the spectacular event of a frown on Reachers face. Through the large steel-Glass doors of a private school. Out of the giant bronze front gate and tall brick walls of a school with too many people ditching. Reachers Audi A5 sits opposite the gate in a spot even the principle would pay for.

2 hours later at the beginning of the afternoon Reacher sits in his room staring at the air infant of him. The room is a mess as all teenage boys rooms are, clothes lay on the floor and sports posters lather the walls. He is in deep thought of what went wrong and how. “I never have problems” He thought. “Yea This isn’t my problem as it is their fault not mine all theirs. No, I don’t know. Compromise, 1/2 yours 1/2 mine.” Then he burst into tears. Some of first tears since he was a toddler. This crying lasted about 5 minutes and then suddenly got a realisation through a superhero poster plastered on his wall, he find out what he must do. He needs help.

Reacher gets pulled back into reality through the scream of a bell. His teacher glares at him as he pulls his head off the desk with pins and needles all down his left cheek. Reacher jumps out of class before the teacher catches up to him. As he struts down the bland hallway he reflects over the daydream he just had. All opposites. lanky, parents are drug addicts, unpopular. The only similarities are his age and the fact that he has a problem. He’s alway hidden where no one has noticed him struggling. well actually no one notices him anyway. But this time he’s learnt. The sand man has blessed him. He needs help, So he heads off through the grey jungle but for the first time with a smile. People stare at Reacher knowing a smile has never been on his face. He turns into the councellers office where the lioness exclaims. “Isaac Reacher, I have been expecting you.”
